Day 3 Juice Feast
Today is the final day of this juice feast and I’m feeling great!

As I enjoy the last day of the feast, it’s time to start planning what food I will reintroduce tomorrow. You want to end the feast with grace and ease and not with hunger and binging.
Here is a sample menu plan of how I would break the feast:
Breakfast: Green Juice such as my Delicious Green Lemonade
Lunch: Chia pudding such as my Strawberry Chia Pudding
Dinner: A green smoothie or Soup such as my Pear and Watercress Soup
Snacks: Fresh fruit and more juices
The key is to be prepared with what you are going to eat, so that you don’t end up eating too much and binging on foods
I’d love to hear how you go on during the feast – what has been difficult for you and what results have you noticed?
Day 2 Juice Feast
Today is day two of the juice feast
It is also the day that might have you reaching for a banana (or piece of toast…)

There are several reasons for this:
- You are hungry
- You have not been juicing enough
So lets take the amount of juice you have been consuming first
So how much juice should I be drinking?
First of all, you must remember that this is a juices FEAST and not a juice fast
It is important to keep up your intake of juice and aim to drink around 4 litres of freshly prepared juice a day - if you have less than this, guess what… you get hungry!
But I’m hungry!
My first question to you is: Are you really?
Are you really hungry or could it be that you are eating out of habit?
When you have feelings of ‘hunger’ come up, stop and take a moment to think about what has just happened and triggered your desire to reach for food
Could it be any of the following:
- You are bored
- Something has just upset you
- You feel the need to suppress of ‘stuff’ feelings down
- It’s because you think you should eat something
- Habit
Give yourself the gift of exploring your relationship with food and using this a chance to experience your true feelings and habits about food – you may even get to experience true hunger!
I’d love to know your thoughts, so post your comments below
Day 1 Juice Feast
I love juice feasting
Having nothing solid to eat throughout the day – just consuming juices.

I really feel that juice feasting gives my body a perfect rest; it can take a well earned break from digesting and focus on any ‘housekeeping’ it has to take care of. Perhaps a little extra de-toxing, or some healing.
My experience of juice feasting has always been positive. It leaves me feeling energised and clear.
I find that juicing when I need to be extra creative or solution orientated helps me tap into my inspiration easier and amazing things have happened and been developed as a result.
So what do you need to get you started on a juice feast?
Equipment
Juicer
or
A blender and a nut milk bag

Length
The length of your juice feast is entirely up to you.
For this challenge we are doing three days. You may only want to do one day or even just for one meal.
Whatever you decide, I highly recommend that you add some juice to your day, your body really will thank you for an extra dose of liquid sunshine!
Share below in the comments your favourite juices – I’d love to hear what you are enjoying

To make this delicious juice, you will need:

Ingredients for Get the GLOW Juice
Ingredients
1 cucumber
1 head of celery
1-2 cups of kale
Equipment
Juicer
Place all ingredients through a juicer and serve…

Helps to know
This juice will help make your skin soft and supple because of the cucumber in it. Cucumber is brilliant for your skin because it is an excellent source of silica. Silica is a trace mineral that contributes to the strength of our connective tissue and it is this connective tissue which holds our body together. Cucumbers are also great because of their high water content – this acts as a diuretic helping to clean and cleanse the body.
Juicy Tip
If this juice is too green for you, you can add some apple. However you may be surprised as the celery really dilutes the ‘green’.

Helps to know
Ginger has a very distinctive flavour and when I make this recipe I make sure that I put the ginger through the juicer before the final ingredient to make sure I get the most flavour.
Ginger is well known for its antibacterial properties.

Using warming spices such as ginger can warm you up on cold days and can help subside cravings for cooked foods.

Confessions on a juice feast
Cravings for a cheese sandwich? Well that’s something I didn’t expect. If you talk about cravings, most people think of chocolate, but over the past few days it was cheese that I wanted, in fact cheese and pickle to be precise.
So for the first week of this juice feast, it was the emotions that I had to deal with and this week it’s cravings.
Those of you who know me, or visit this site often know that I am a complete advocate for greens. I love them! We should all be green goddesses, so why was it then that I forgot my own advice?
For a couple of days I had been juicing, but hadn’t included any greens!! The shock, I know. When I look back I realise that it was on these days that the craving for cheese, or should that be fat, took hold. As soon as I started to juice greens the cravings went!
So even if you are not juicing and find yourself craving fatty, stodgy foods include some green in your diet and watch the craving disappear. This doesn’t mean that you can’t have the fatty foods that you want, but it does mean that you can control your cravings and you can make the CHOICE.
Here are three of my favourite and delicious ways to add greens to your day:
Juice: Delicious Green Lemonade
Smoothie: Strawberry and Spinach Smoothie
Salad: 3-Step Salad
