Using raw foods to connect to your inner self

Are you waiting to be rescued?

Last night I had the biggest breakthrough I’ve ever had!

Are you ready for a breakthrough?

Now this is quite some claim considering I have been working on myself using various methods and techniques for over 16 years!

I think I will re- name my cleansing program The Clarity Cleanse or Breakthrough Cleanse as every time I complete it I deeper insights to myself, not just on an emotional and mental level, but I can feel the energetic shifts happening immediately.

This breakthrough was the realisation that I have been waiting.

It seems so trivial when it’s written down, but I had ‘flashbacks’ like a scene from a movie, going right back to when I was four years old. I observed the images and immediately saw the connections and how this had been playing out in my life.

Once I realised that I have spent my life waiting, I won’t bore you with the details (unless you want to know), several other breakthroughs emerged. One helped me understand why I have found it difficult to settle. Only recently I have found myself wanting to move again, not just house but county.

Once I realised that I had been waiting, and waiting for a particular person to come and rescue me, I realised how much of my own power I had been, unconsciously and energetically, giving away. This also allowed me to understand why I find it so hard to plan more than a month or so in advance…

This simple connection, has allowed me to take back my power, give me back my responsibility and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see what plays out next!

Are you ready for a breakthrough too? If so check out the details here

Do you take your own advice?

Today I’m on day four of my cleanse Recreate Yourself / Eat Yourself Clean. I always find  the first three days the hardest – If I can get through them I know I’m on to a winner. So the good news is that it looks like I am on track to meet my goals.

My learning so far:

Do you listen to your own advice?

Yesterday, my day three and always my hardest day, I spent the day being hard on myself because I felt so tired and couldn’t work out why… I wasn’t shattered but just felt like I could have slept all day. If I had actually thought about why I might have asked myself ‘Do you think it’s the Spring Clean you are doing?’. But I didn’t I just kept pushing through the tiredness.

Obviously this is a little embarrassing as the advice I give to the amazing people that I work with on a cleanse would include:

  • Be gentle with yourself
  • Make time to relax and spend on just you
  • You may feel a little more tired than usual as your body starts it Spring Clean, so just take it easy and rest when your body asks to

You get the idea? So why is it that can I advise and encourage others to have a fabulous and easy cleanse, but when it comes to myself I seem to have forgotten?

I’m sure that you can relate to this!

So next time you find yourself dishing out advice:

STOP what you are doing for a moment

LISTEN to the words you have given out

LOOK to see where you need to implement your own advice

You may surprise yourself with your own wisdom.

The real truth about my wanting to cleanse

Today I have started my Recreate Yourself/Eat Yourself Clean program.

What do you want from life?

There is no doubt that I have been inspired by nature Springing to life around me, however I have another reason that I have chosen to embark upon my cleanse at this time.

Over the last month I have taken time to reflect on various aspects of my life, especially in relation to my work.

Most of you know me through the work I do with raw food, but for nearly 10 years I have also been practicing kinesiology and working with hundreds of people to transform their health and lives.

Before that, in the laste 1990′s (Do you remember Britpop?) I started coaching people. First children and then adults.

In fact I was still a teenager (albeit a very old/late teenager) when I received my first letter about how I had changed someones life!

So what has all this got to do with a cleanse?

Well, I have been taking some time to fully enjoy, embrace and be grateful, even more so than usual, for all the wonderful people and opportunities that I have in my life and focus on what I really want to be doing and how I want to show up in the world. Although I have a really good idea about what this is, and it incorporates all of the above - I know I’m still missing a vital piece. I also know that by doing this cleanse it will give me the space and clarity I need to bring to life my greatest work ever!

This is very exciting and I can’t wait to share it, not just with you, but with the world!

Are you with me, are you ready to step up and truely SHINE?

Support from nature

We know how important food is to help us maintain our health and vitality and mother nature is here to help us do just that. She has provided us with foods, herbs and spices that support our bodies to cleanse unwanted matter and maintain a healthy and balanced body.

Sometimes it’s about focussing on eating more food that we know is beneficial and supportive of us rather than trying to remove and restrict foods.

Natures support

Here is a list of foods that I eat regularly to support my body be at its best:

  • Green leafy vegetables
  • Apples
  • Carrots
  • Grapes
  • Lemons
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Parsley
  • Fennel

You can easily eat these at any meal or you can create delicious juices and smoothies – What’s stopping  you?

Recreate Yourself

The food you eat creates your body and the way in which you interact with the world around you.

Unfortunately many people have an unhealthy relationship with food and often use food as a tool to deal with their emotions or deaden their senses. But it doesn’t have to be like this!

If you are ready to take a look at your own personal relationship with food and want to make lasting changes to your body and the food you eat, then click here now for the answer

Cleanse Inside and Out

The body has an amazing ability to naturally cleanse itself, however because of our lifestyles the body can sometimes struggle to keep up with our demands. These demands include:

  • Food choices
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Negative thought patterns
  • Emotional traumas
  • Unsupportive relationships

These are my 3 favourite ways to support my body cleanse:

As your internal body clears away its debris, you will find that many others of your life will also begin to benefit from your cleanse. You may start to notice that behaviours or patterns that you had once accepted become distracting to you as you become more tuned into yourself and the world around you.

Can you remember your first time?

My  first time was when I was 20 years old…

This was my first ever experience of detox symptoms.

I was at college and working part time as a waitress. Although I had a keen interest in health and alternative therapies,  at this point I wasn’t thinking too much about food and I was living on a diet of toast, pasta, black coffee, cigarettes and alcohol.

After a particularly, shall we say,  late night I woke up late for work and had just enough time to get showered and dressed as I raced off to work. No time for my usual toast and coffee.

Can you remember your first time?

At work that day my head started to hurt like I had never known before and it was getting worse as the day went on. I assumed this must be a hangover, I had never had one before (not from the lack of alcohol, but I had guessed I was just lucky…).

My head continued to hurt throughout the day I didn’t get a coffee break until 3pm at which point I guzzled down my usual black coffee and within minutes my headache had gone!

I was shocked, it wasn’t a hangover, it was caffeine withdrawal I was having!

I thought about the amount of coffee I drank and it was a lot! I grew up in a house where the kettle was always on and my Mum took a coffee to bed saying that she couldn’t sleep without one.

That day I decided that I didn’t like the affect that coffee must be having on me and my body and stopped drinking both tea and coffee there and then and haven’t drank them again since. (Strangely the cigarettes didn’t stop for another year! But one step at a time…)

The kettle remains constantly on in my house but this time it’s herbal teas, with nettle being my favourite…

It’s incredible how much we can change when we choose to, and these changes can have a huge impact on our lives!

Back to Basics – Juices

Juicy Juices

Freshly juiced fruits and vegetables give your body an instant boost of nutrients, enzymes, vitamins and minerals in a form that the body can easily assimilate, absorb and digest.

At the most basic level, juicing allows us to add so many more vegetables to our daily diet, and to up the amount of raw food we consume, giving the body energy and boosting the immune system, whilst supporting the body’s cleansing process.

Back to Basics – Green Smoothies

Delicious Green Smoothies

Green Smoothies are a tasty way to get more fresh fruits and vegetables in to your diet.

When the fruits and vegetables are blended they become easy for your body to digest and for the nutrients to be absorbed. They differ from juices in that the fibre remains part of the smoothie.

Green is the key for a nutritious and cleansing smoothie as Green vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables, contain lots of chlorophyll which is incredibly effective in cleansing our bodies. Chlorophyll can help make our bodies strong, detoxify the liver and can purify and help to rebuild our blood cells.
